I feel like a huge weight has been listed off my shoulders! Since I'm gonna be going camping for the next few days, I know that the stress of finding on what score I got will come. Does anyone know how long it takes to find out the score?

Honestly, how was it?

I am studying for it right now and its like meh.

I have heard its either super hard or super easy. What was your opinion?

My top choice school only looks at the reading and english sections. I would prefer to get at least a 90% in those two sections to get a good amount of points and be competitive for fall 2012 decisions. Were those sections hard?

We can take it twice, right?

I was feeling okay, until I got the science portion. People were right-- the science is NOTHING like the study manual. I haven't taken A&P yet so I tried to study as much as I could. All the other material was covered thoroughly in the manual. I freak out when it comes to tests, so right now I think I failed (but I'm trying not to think about it). If your top choice school only looks at the reading & english, you're good just studying the manual, you lucky duck! I think 90% in those sections is do-able. Just practice a lot of comprehension (main ideas, topic sentences) & grammar! However, I would try to do good on all of it just in case. Just curious, but is your school requiring a 90% on those sections or are you setting a goal for yourself? The schools I am applying to want at least a 75% on the whole thing.

And yes, we can take it twice. My top choice school says I can take it as many times as I want, but I'm only doing it twice. Hopefully I get somewhere in the mid-80's minimum.

Aw! I bet you did good! Your a smart cookie! Which is your top choice?

I am applying to CSULA as my top choice (was CSULB until they disqualified me) and so you need to pass every section but they give you points based on reading and english sections. The highest amount of points is if you get a 100% (unlikely) and then they give you less points for every 10% less you drop (ex. 90%-100% is 5 points, 80%-89% is 4 points etc) so knowing that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me to get 100% on each section, I would like to get at least 90% so i can get a good amount of points. Plus it needs to make up for my less than steller overall GPA 3.1 right now (averaging university=2.8 with current 3.3 at CC) my pre req grades are good, (only A's in the sciences, the other crap is B's or A's)

So yes, 90% in those two sections (preferrably 90% in ALL sections, but doubt it!) would be ideal.

How do you think you did for the english and reading? were they hard?

Thanks! =) Sonoma State is my top choice. They go by a points system too, but I'm not sure how many points they require for admission.

I think that if you study craaaazy hard, then you should be fine. Compared to the other 2 sections, I thought reading and english were the easiest. If anything, they were exhausting. I dunno how I did. I don't remember any questions at all. The whole test was blur. Lol. And btw, your GPA is way better than some of the people that I've encountered in nursing prereqs at my CC, so I'm sure you'll do fine.

Aw. thanks. Ya I went to the university with close to a 3.5 and then did engineering and that is where it took a dive LOL

Oh well, CSULA's points are mainly on pre req GPA and TEAS V. the overall and optional points are very low.

The only thing left now is to get those extra optional points by using my CNA cert lol. I better start applying!

When will you get your score?

I got my score today! I go an 81.7. WAAAAY better than what I thought I was gonna get. I'm planning on retaking it anyway.

Hi Lame. Congratulations on your TEAS test. Great job. I wanted to ask you which study materials did you use to prepare for the TEAS. I understand there are many resources out there and sounds like your plan worked well. Please let me know; thanks! Darriz1

I mainly used the ATI study manual. I also followed this thread: https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/how-i-studied-531994.html

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your responsiveness! I'd better get started.... ;0)
