Hi Everyone!
I just took my NCLEX for the first time and I have to say, I am really nervous. I have been reading all of the comments posted from other nurses, and it has been so helpful. Anyway, I took the exam yesterday and freaked out because I received ALL 265 questions. I never expected this. I took Kaplan and did everything. I studied very hard!!
I have been feeling so awful and need a place to share my feelings. I tried the PVT trick and got a message saying I could not reschedule my test because I was already registered (or something like that....). Can someone tell me their thoughts? Do you think I passed?

Hi Everyone!
I wanted to thank you for all the support and let you know that I PASSED!!!! I found out this morning with quick results!!!! I have never felt so excited and relieved!!!! Now it is time for me to support others and pass along some scores/advice.
Someone else posted their Kaplan Scores on here, so I wanted to do the same to help confidence levels:
QT1: 62.7%
QT2: 56.0%
QT3: 56.0%
QT4: 62.0%
QT5: 60.7%
QT6: 63.5%
QT7: 63.4%
I also did about 70% of QBank questions. If anyone has a desire to know any of the other scores, please let me know.
So as you all can see, I did not do as well as I should have. I studied hard, too! ...but I PASSED!
My advice for the NCLEX:
-Have a support group like All Nurses. Trust me, my husband was so sick of me talking about NCLEX and I don't have much support from family, so this website was everything to me both pre/post NCLEX
-Do not listen to ANYONE except Kaplan/whatever you are using to study and knowledge from study guides
-Do not expect to get 75 questions (if you do, you may/may not be lucky)
-Expect 265 questions and make sure to test for six hours a few times in case you get all 265
-You only receive 2 breaks with NCLEX (one at 2 hours and one after 3.5 hours which count toward your total time), so don't plan on taking breaks after every 50-75 questions like I was going to do
-I want to clarify that you can take breaks whenever you want (you just have to raise your hand), but each time you break, again, it does count toward your total time, so only plan for two
-Take the test slowly. Time is on your side. It is better to take your time because you will be nervous no matter how prepared you are and have an increased possibility to make a mistake
-Go with your gut instinct - it is always right!
-ABSOLUTELY know the difference between standard, contact, airborne and droplet precautions. Know if the door is closed. Know what items you need to wear during appropriate situations...I found someone online and looked at their awesome flashcard acronyms:mnemonics - safety precautions flashcards | Quizlet
-Continue to use self-talk. There were so many times that I had to tell myself "It's going to be ok. You got this. You're awesome!!" LOL
I hope this helps anyone/everyone. I will always be here to give advice to anyone who requests it. For now, just take a deep breath study and do it!
