Hi Everyone,
I was wanting to start a cohort for RCC Fall 2013 applicants. I just submitted my application and am studying for the teas V. Anyone else apply or am I the only one crazy enough to be worrying about it already?
I had 75pts. I thought for sure I was going to get standby...but I didn't. So either I got in on the lottery or the people I applied with had similar amount of points. It all depends on the pool of applicants that you are applying with. If you have 80 pts and above, I wouldn't even worry... you'll get in lol. If you have 75 like me, then it's a toss up. It could go either way for you. No matter what...don't give up hope if you don't get in on your first try. You can always reapply. Have you taken your TEAS yet?
I was shooting for a 90 on the TEAS as well but got an 85, which is still an awesome score. I waited till about 5 weeks before my test to start studying. I did one section from the TEAS book a week. And then the week of my test, I did the practice tests and worked on my weakest points. I found the test to be pretty similar to the practice tests... but with a little more of the tricky questions on it. If you study for a whole month before, you'll do perfectly fine :) oh and just a tip for taking it at Loma Linda... leave extra early if you live kinda far because of traffic AND it was a horrific experience trying to find a parking spot. Oh and make sure you pay in cash on the day of your test.
