Just passed Transition to RN, with a C...I got B's on excelsior pretests...I found this one odd...the questions were all in a weird passive voice, double negative thing....very little of the info on the study guides & study group 101 stuff was on the exam...Or I'm not retaining it lol. The study stack flash cards with the same title were very helpful. I found the pretest to not really correspond either. I'm getting a little ******...the source info for these tests seem to vary...trying to find the right formula to put together a good process....can't seem to get it pinned down. Oh well on to the next 1.

I feel your pain. I made an A on A&P and a B on Micro, used Lisa Arends notes for Transitions and made a C and was absolutely was not prepared for the exam. For what it's worth I made a 68 on the first practice test and a 79 on the second practice test. Same story with Health Safety with similar practice test grades and C on the exam. I've since switched to StudyGuide101 for Health Differences.

Congratulation! I m studying for transition, hoping to take it end of may. I m using study guide101 notes. I also have the books
the practice test might be good to look at. maybe, i dunno...
So since I posted this, I developed a new method....I take 2 tests a month, just take both forms of the pretest & turn it into flashcards & memorize the material. I'm 3 for 3 since I stopped reading the books, audio, & study guides. I'm done with Phase 1...on to Phase 2! All C's. Not bragging, but I'm sure that other people are frustrated with the exams...the vagueness, the weird wording, the overly passive voice...Argh. I just try to put the "Excelsior" answer. So, for all of the interpersonal interaction questions....I picture a young, idealistic, by the numbers, passive aggressive person....."I see your crying, you must be upset", it is so bizarre. LOL
