Hello,

I just got hired and have heard that Zoloft can sometimes cause a false positive for Benzo's? I find it hard to believe since their properties are different...however I have read several articles regarding this...Now I am concerned...any input would be helpful. Also I took an Ambien 4 days prior to my test...would that show up as well. Yes I understand the Half-Life concept but it is different for everyone and metabolism plays a big role and my metabolism is ZERO....LOL....kidding...(have gained a lot of weight since nursing school)...Thank you...:redbeathe

I have the shy bladder too, it's awful. I had to schedule my preemployment drug screen for 0900 and go straight there without voiding so I could be semi cconfidant that I could provide a sample in a reasonable amount of time. I had to go SO bad by the time I got there but I was barely able to squeeze out an acceptable amount of very sad, dehydrated looking urine. The doc even said, wow, your specific gravity shows that you are so dehydrated. It was just because it was my first morning urine....

Still, for anyone who doesn't have to take these meds, please understand. It's not always so easy to divulge it all on paper, in writing. There is still a stigma, like it or not. I was questioned about my anxiety and depression just because I chose to do what I felt was right and list all my meds. I can totally understand why someone would consider withholding this information. I listed mine because I didn't want to take any chances...But still, if you chose not to and something shows up, as long as you have valid scripts, there should be no worries. I can really both sides of this
