Hey everyone!
I was hoping that I could get some advice on how to study for the NCLEX. I graduated from nursing school about a year ago and took the Kaplan complete class and did not pass so I got my money back. I have ready many books and reviewed questions on the CD's provided but that just doesn't seem to be enough. I was google searching NCLEX-RN review programs today and came across Hurst review and it seems like it might be good to be able to watch the review sessions after being out of school for a year. If I could get some advice on what to do that would be great!!!

Did you get a report showing your weak areas? If so, what are they? What books have you used to study from?

Read over and over again the "random facts" page and know the mnemonics by heart and your labs really well! Good luck!

Study as if you had never tested before. Take one resource and go through it thoroughly. Do as many questions as possible and make sure you are paying attention to the rationales. Give yourself enough time before scheduling the test so that you can cover everything. Relax the day before the test. Wishing you good luck.
Before taking my last test on May 5th, the weak areas from the test before were reduction of risk potential and basic care and comfort. I have not recieved the informaion from the BON yet. This last time I used the Saunders Comprehensive Review and before I have used Kaplan, NCLEX-RN for dummies, Mosby's and NCLEX-RN notes Core Review & Exam Prep. I actually checked out some other books from the library before I took my test a couple times ago, although I do not remember the names of them.

I am sorry for your exam results, but one good source is exam cram. Do the questions, than go back to review the answers and ration.... and whenever you bump into something that you dont know or remember, stop get you nursing book and look it up until u understand it. Any word or subject look it up. That's what i did...... BUT DO NOT GIVE UP, this is just a test that you did not passed this time, it is not over till is over........ you want this, u are healthy, you want a carreer so pick up the pieces and you nursing books of course, and lets keep on moving.... stay positive and you will do great!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck

Get the priority delegation book by LaCharity. Choose 1 or two cds & tick to it. Focus on elimanating the wrong choices in the answers.
