Oh boy. I started pre-reqs part-time back in the fall of 1997...had to take time off due to non-qual for financial aid and my van picked that year to need a new transmission...took another year off to have a baby...wasted a semester suffering from severe depression and didn't leave the house unless I absolutely had to...switched my major to computer science d/t pressure from family and a semester later realized that I made a mistake and went back to where my heart was...now that I have everything back on track I will graduate in December 2004. So...what...6 years? LOL and all this for a two-year degree. Sheesh, rereading this I'm embarrassed. :imbar

I started in 1998 in a ADN program in SC. Got a year done and my husband, who is in the military, got transfered to Texas. None of my credits transfered so I started over in a BSN program. I got a year done and my husband got orders back to SC. Well, wouldn't you guess it my credits didn't transfer. I am back in a ADN program, starting all over yet again. I vow that I will not leave this school until I have some kind of a degree. I should graduate May 2004.

This is the 4th semester of prerequisites going part time while working and being a mom. I already have a degree, so I needed only a few more science classes. I start an accelerated BSN program in Jan, and will graduate with my BSN in Dec., 2003.
I'm a mom too and I'll be working while in my nursing studies. I just figured out that I'll be done by the end of Fall 2006! YIKES! (I start this spring with pre-req courses)

18 years! LOL I started on the path to my BSN in 1984. Got talked out of it and switched to Business Admin :uhoh21: and graduated in 1989. Decided along the way that I loved medicine too much to leave it, so I became a Registered Medical Assistant in hopes of combining that with the BBA and working hospital admin. Needless to say it never happened. I did, however, have a life along the way, and am now accepted into a BSN program. I am currently slamming out my prerequisites. I'll start in January. I can't WAIT.
