Hello all,
I recently graduated from an ADN program and since I already have a bachelor degree in a another medical field I am seriously considering enrolling in an online FNP in the near future. I am curious about the workload an online FNP program requires, I was wondering how it compares to a pre-licensure program and if doing it while working would be a realistic option.
I appreciate your time and input

You assume an awful lot, most of it incorrect. My school is of very high quality....one of the top 100 in the nation. All the faculty are practicing clinicians, and our clinical placements are in the top 5 hospitals in the state. The program I am in is intensive and rigorous and we often share lectures with the medical and PA students. We've had excellent tuition in reading EKGs, x-rays, patho and pharm, have learned to place central lines, arterial lines and intubate and we are also taught from the get go to write detailed SOAP notes and do thorough physical exams. It's really nobody else's business if I choose to work full time and I shouldn't have to explain my reasoning, but I don't have the luxury of not working. I am the sole breadwinner of my household and nobody will pay the bills except me. I'm trying to make a better life for my family and a very great sacrifice to myself. I think that should be applauded not derided. I found your post quite insulting and way off base.
