Hello fellow nurses,
I had a question regarding the Jurisprudence CNE requirement needed for our license renewal. I am a little confused as to when I need to get this requirement done. I got my license 2/2012. My next renewal date is 1/28/2019. I read this requirement is effective with licensure renewal cycles that start after January 1, 2014, and we have to have the 2 hours CNE before our 3rd, 2yr license renewal. Would this mean I need to do the 2 hours before my next renewal in 2019?

the 1-28-19 date is messing me up. Renewal dates usually extend to the last day of your birth month.

And required to be renewed every 2 years. At least they are in Texas any way.
But based on the 2/12 issues date, the way I read the requirement, you'll need to complete the course before your renewal date of 1/2020. That will be within your three 2 year renewal cycles after when the requirement went into date, 1/2014. And repeat in the next 6 years after your renewal of 2020.
Bureaucracy in action!!
