June 4th CRNE

Published

What are other people feeling about the exam today? I don't have a great feeling at all!

Hello CRNERollercoaster - you are right about the arrival date. They stamped mine on July 4th and got in the mail today, July 11th.

:) Hahaha I noticed the trend from the past 2 tests I wrote. Hope the rest of Alberta gets ours Monday :) I don't know why CARNA cant just tell us the truth instead of it being a "secret" when they mail them lol .

Congrats on your pass!!

How archaic of the nursing organizations to use snail mail to deliver the results. Making them available online makes much more sense. But this is another topic for another time.

Yes. They can just post it online than waste paper.

Goodluck rollercoaster - and Thanks

I think they just want us to wait further than become anxious about it.

I have read some of the posts in here and just to clarify about envelopes, mailman, etc.

I have received mine in a white envelope. In my mailbox no delivery man. Mail comes in around 12 noon in my place.

The anxiety of waiting for the results is getting to me, I've even dreamed about failing twice last night!

Did anyone check with CRNA this year about practicing with your temporary permit until it runs our? In January most provinces switched their policy to revoke the practice permit after failing the first attempt. I also notice online it says on condition passing CRNE, under the permit. Just curious as I noticed someone posting earlier that you could still practice.

If you're talking about CARNA, I spoke with them earlier this week (I posted what I was told earlier in this thread). Yes you can keep working with your temp GN permit even if you don't pass. When it expires you may need a reference to renew it. If you don't pass a second time and want to renew it again then there's a few more steps you need to go through.

Sorry, spell check changed CARNA on me! And thank you for your reply, that's a bit of a relief!

I received my result yesterday and I passed :cat:... I'm from Toronto...

For those of you in Alberta that were interested in knowing if the CCP can give you a clue about whether or not you passed the CRNE, I had emailed CARNA a few months back due to being unable to access the program. I was getting an error page, and had thought I was required to complete it. I received this response:

"You do not need to participate in the Continuing Competence Program while you are a temporary permit holder. As such, you do not yet have access to MyCCP, CARNA’s automated recording and reporting tool.

When you have been notified that you are eligible to apply for a registered nurse practice permit, you will then be able to log into MyCCP and complete your practice reflection for the practice year you wish to apply for."

I do now have access to it. It does sound like you only have access once you are eligible for an RN license, although one person posted that they failed and had access.
