Hello all! I just wanted to start a thread to see who else applied for the June 2015 Parkland SICU residency. Also we can keep up to date on the process! Good luck to all who applied!

Hey broonie717! I too have applied to SICU as well as MICU and ER. I haven't heard anything back yet :/ I think I will call today to check on that and find out if they will be posting any other residency positions. Also, I see you're from Allen. I am also from Allen!

Hi! That would be great! I have been debating calling, but any information you hear please let me know! I applied for MICU as well and no word from them either. I did get an email saying my SICU application is moving to the next step or something like that. But no word on an interview.

And yes, I am from Plano/Allen but live in Dallas now =)

Yes I called and she said allow 2-4 weeks to hear any further processing once you submit your application, and to keep watching everyday for other residency positions to post!

I got the email about my SICU app moving onto the next step to the hiring manager! Does everyone that applies get this email or only certain people?!

Yeah I got the same thing about a week and a half ago. Im still waiting for a call or something? Im wondering the same thing...

And I feel like I have applied to each residency unit they have offered. lol

Ah! do you know when they started letting people know about interviews? I am freaking out I haven't gotten anything except the email saying that I have moved to the next step.

I'm sorry but if you didn't get an email by now that means you weren't picked. The day I went was the final day of interviews for the SICU I believe. :(

Anyone know what it's like to work at Parkland? Is the 3 year commitment/$20,000 penalty worth it?

I would think it is worth it because Parkland is one of the top hospitals in Dallas.
