ei guyz... have you watched d local news @ chanel 2... wherein the BON & PNA were suggesting to have a retake of our june 2006 board exams? and there were news that there are a lot of local institutions who were not accepting passers of the said june board?! any reaction guyz?
i am a passer of d recent board dat's why i'm kinda dismayed... however if a retake would help clear our name... i would also opt for a retake... however i'm hoping that if there's going to be a retake... PRC won't handle the said retake and the BON wont also be making the exams... i guess they have also loss their credibility on that... so what's your opinion?
keep on posting!!:welcome:
i passed the NLE..but i'm not afraid to retake it if it's necessary. All i want that the government will be fair, and justice is served.. its unfair to our part, we passed the NLE, then they want us to retake the exam because of the leakage. i'm hoping that they can put behind bars those culprit, before they want us to retake the exam.
Having the suggestion to have the NLE be repeated, the Association of Deans are most likely admitting that students from their schools graduated unequipped. They, who molded the students on their respective institutions, should be the foremost people who must defend their students' dignity since their performances reflect on them. If they believe that the 2006 NLE passers are cheaters then they should not have allowed them to graduate or have a diploma bearing the good name of their schools which they have hardly earned all these years. People look up to nurses as epitome of honesty, respect and integrity and these budding nurses who worked real hard to achieve their goal are now being deprived of their rights and their future as well. They are the ones suffering from the selfishness of the few individuals who do not care for their profession but on their own personal interests. It is so unfair to those who did their best, sacrificed for 4 years, and spent a huge amount of money to pursue their studies and dream of having a good future and what they can call a profession. It is true that nurses are here to heal and care but if they are not given due respect by the people who are supposedly the foremost promoters of "care", how then can these fresh graduates learn the virtue of Nursing? Wisdom comes from those who are well experienced in this field and so they must use this to guide the new nurses instead of putting them down. Nevertheless, most board passers are affected especially their confidence because of the said refusal of some institutions to hire nurses from this batch. It is imperative that the skills of fresh graduates are not that developed due to limited clinical exposure but it does not necessarily mean that they are incompetent. If the health institutions will not accept these board passers, where will they expect them to learn more skills and enhance their competency? Instead of giving them the opportunity they deserve for the long years of hardship, this is what they get...mock and disgrace which is deserved only by those who know not how to care.
is there really going to be a retake? coz i received a text message from a friend saying:
"dear board passers, pls be a member of our yahoo group, venue to coordinate plans of action regarding retake of nursing board exam, send to

Hi to those are involved in this stupid PRC-BON issue... Face reality, you are in this controversy.
If the BON will tell you to retake, are them to resign first so that the credibility of the said exam will not be tainted anymore.
Secondly, if it will be mandatory to all of you, go to court and have legal battle on this!!!!!!!!! As stated in the law, CLEARLY INDICATE THAT THE BOARD EXAM WILL BE HELD TWO TIMES A YEAR ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Amendments with the nursing law first before they will tell you to repeat!!!!!!!!
Punish those who are involved with the scam and not the students who are only victims of your monetary greediness......
Help US GOD......
