Am planning on submitting my app to CRNA school this fall, and I know one of the schools on my list asks clinical questions during the interview and expects their applicants to "demonstrate an acceptable understanding of the roles and responsibilities of CRNAs." :uhoh21:
I've printed off the previous post - looks like my summer reading list is pretty much settled! :icon_roll - but I was wondering if there are any journals to which I should subscribe so I will have at least a working knowledge of current affairs re: the field.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
PS - Any recommendations for a Spanish-for-healthcare-workers book??

You cant subscribe to the AANA jornal til after you start the program. Any medical school library will have the journals and others that nay help.
Good luck,

You may purchase the AANA journal subscription (I think it's about $45 per year) without being a member. It's an excellent resource and I highly recommend you subscribe.
Thx for the replies, I will look into the journal! :)
IS it the hardbound copy that many schools get? Do you have to wait until the subscription year is over?
Thanks
Brian,
I'm not sure what the schools get, but it is the official AANA journal that is published six times per year. The annual subscription is for the calendar year, so if you buy the sub in July, for example, I believe you would still pay the $45, but would only get the remaining publications for the calendar year. I would check that by calling the phone number listed on AANA's website. It's still a great deal for such an excellent resource.
Brian, you may be referring to the Student Journal of NA. If so, you are right, that is not available to non-AANA members (to be eligible, you have to currently be a student in CRNA school). Perhaps it is this journal you had in mind.
