Journals and confrences for picu rns

Are there any picu specific nursing journals out there? If not, what nursing journals does everyone subscribe to? How about conferences?

I subscribe to Critical Care Nurse (once in a while they throw us a PICU bone), AJN, Nursing Made Incredibly Easy and Journal of Pediatrics.

I've not found a specific PICU journal. I read the medical journals our docs bring in, too.

I had a thought last night at work. Sonce PICU is the 'red-headed step-child' of the critical care world, and there is no nursing specific peds critical care journal for nurses, what about an inter-disciplinary journal? MD/ RN/ RT / OT/ PT could all contribute. I always think it's good to read other disciplines anyhow - thoughts????

Thank you! I am attending the Nursing Management Congress 2013 in Chicago next month, and it is sponsored by one of the biggies in the publishing world. I'm going to pitch this idea to whoever I can.

Well- I did it. I spoke with several people from LWW at the Congress and pitched my idea for an interdisciplinary PICU journal. They listened with interest- and one gentleman dragged me over to give my pitch to another, more senior member of the staff. I was encouraged- we shall see...
