Johns Hopkins Summer Cohort RN Residency 2022

Hi everyone,

Has anyone applied to any of their Summer Cohort RN Residency positions? If so, where is everyone applying and what department? I'd like to connect and also shout out to where you are at?

I actually applied in a few ICU positions and Ortho/Trauma unit! Have you heard from them yet?

I got an offer and have to accept/decline by Wednesday. I'm not from the area so I am nervous to accept and move. What about you?

Same here. I am not from the area and will require me to move from out of state! The pay for Baltimore is so low and the rent in the area is pretty pricey.  I asked them if I could shadow in the unit and they told me they would be happy to arrange it. I might just accept it, shadow in the unit - get to know the staff, unit, manager, etc....If I see any red flags or something that is not worth pursuing, I may just decline the offer later on. 

I'd say, accept it - if you have time to go, just see the unit in action -- that could totally change your decision in the end.

That sounds like a good idea, I may try to do that t00. I would be moving out of state too. Let me know what you think when you shadow.

I will! I am going to try to do it in the next week or so as I also don't want to miss out in other nursing residency opportunities. I'll let you know.

hey! I also got an offer from the perinatal unit. the only thing I’m unsure of is the pay because it seems like much less than other hospitals.

I just accepted an offer in the Ortho/Trauma Unit!!

Update: I decided against JH because of a better offer and closer to home. Good luck to y’all!
