Is there anyone that is starting new nurse orientation on July 7th? Or is there anyone familiar with the spring program for new nurses?

Hi! I am starting the new nurse orientation in September (they gave me the choice between July 7th and Sept 8th.... I didn't think I'd have fulfilled the requirements by July). Anyways, I hope your orientation is going great!
Orientation is going great. What unit will you be on? I'm on H2O2. The nurse educators are awesome. I really an learning a lot. Good luck to you in Sept.
That's awesome!!!! I cannot wait and want to start now! My unit its PCCU, so cardiac care. What is H2O2? I hope to learn a lot too, with this long summer I'll definitely need a massive refresher!
Wups more questions!! How many people did you orient with? How many days did you spend in the classroom until you go on the floor? Does it seem like the other new grads are living in Baltimore or commuting?
I'm on Halstead 2, it's a general medicine floor. My Spring class is about 14 people. You spend the 1st 2 days with general orientation 9 benefits, etc..). Then you start Spring. You spend about a week in a half in classroom before you go on the unit. Ny preceptors are great. Yes.....you will learn a lot. You start with 3 patients and then they work you up to 5 for night shift.
