Hi All,
Figured I'd start a thread for applicants to the Johns Hopkins Masters Entry into Nursing Practice for entry in spring 2017 with July 1 deadline. Good luck all.
They didn't say why, just that I'd been selected for it. I didnt apply, they give out their scholarships based on the admission application. Honestly my brain exploded a little bit, so I missed the first few words after she said it, haha. Both my GRE scores and my GPA are pretty good, but neither are perfect. I'm guessing they consider everything together.
I am (was?) also waiting to hear from University of Rochester's BSN program, but this seems like my best bet now.
I was and still am waiting to see about university of Rochester as well. The program is shorter, less money and then their DNP program is slight shorter as well. But for now this is the school. Do you live in the area? One of biggest concerns is housing/roommate situation. I started looking a little bit and just received my guest account for off-campus student housing. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to find any of those things?
Is anyone going to November 4, new student day?

@BmoreHealthy - I sent a reply to your private message, but I'm not sure it will go through because I don't have at least "15 quality topics." It looks like I may still be taking baby steps to become a bona fide member with private messaging privileges. Hopefully, my response went through, though.
Hello,
Congrats all on your acceptance! Look forward to meeting you. I am attending the November 4th "introduction" day - not sure the official title - and hope to make acquaintances.
I was accepted as well! I was actually accepted for the Spring, 2016 start and deferred a year due to work commitments and needing to finish up some (actually just about all) of my prerequisites.
I am still trying to figure out housing. I have never lived on the east coast, and have only been through Baltimore once or twice, usually on business. Anyone with any suggestions let me know. I'd be happy to reciprocate and share what I have learned through research.
I did open a Facebook group! There is already a class of 2018 group for the direct-entry MSN program, but it is for the class that actually started Fall, 2016. We technically graduate later in 2018 if I understand correctly. Given that we may be concerned with different things, I thought a different group might be prudent. Again, congrats all!
