Hi All,
Figured I'd start a thread for applicants to the Johns Hopkins Masters Entry into Nursing Practice for entry in spring 2017 with July 1 deadline. Good luck all.
That's awesome, at least you know the area. I did apply to other programs.. university of Rochester but it's not the master program and MGH but they only look at masters apps in the Fall. So if I get into Rochester this seems like best option, directly into the Masters.
Do you think I will need a car? Or I wonder if the school requires students to have a car?
Thanks for any insight,
Tanya
Yes a car will be very helpful but not required until later I think. Baltimore isn't like DC or NYC with great public transportation...we mostly rely on busses. You can live close to school and walk, and Hopkins has a lot of shuttles, but I don't know about clinicals, if you get a rotation in a suburban hospital or something it might be tough without a car. Also tough doing things like getting groceries by bus. Sometimes supermarkets are close enough to walk to but you'd have to walk through bad areas to get there so it's not a smart option. Maybe their shuttles go to the shopping plazas though, I don't know...

Originally it was July, then early August, late August, early September, and most recently late September. When I applied I was told the deadline was July 1. The last time I called I was told no, the deadline is sept 1....
