Yeah I’m really surprised... I’m not trying to look into it too much but maybe I got rejected? If I was accepted would they really have me put down a deposit for another school ?

oh my dear, your comment just broke my heart into a million pieces. your feelings are completely valid - it feels really bad right now to think we're probably not at the very top of their list for whatever reason, but I don't think their response to you indicates a rejection or anything like that! the person who emailed/called you probably doesn't know the details of your application status. have you tried asking the other school for an extension on paying the deposit?

It's okay! I did try asking for an extension but didn't get a response. I'm going to commit to that school!
