Johns Hopkins Entry MSN Spring 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just completed my application for JHU Entry into MSN Nursing Spring 2020 application. I was waitlisted for Fall 2019 and was not accepted. Anyone else out there applying for a second time? Who has completed their application? Best of LUCK!

I applied June 28th, and I am sooo nervous I'm counting down the days. I already got admitted into one school, but JHU is my top choice.

Same! I'm hoping that we are told of any merit aid with our decision. Hopkins is my top choice but about three times more expensive than the other school I am considering ?

Hi All,

I also applied to the spring 2020 start and anxiously awaiting my acceptance letter. I check my email everyday for my letter from JHU, I Have received a confirmation letter from them but does that mean things are looking positive?

has anyone talked to admissions recently to ask when they think decisions will come out?

Yes they said ending August till ending September

Hello Everyone!

I applied for Fall 2019 and was waitlisted. It was disappointing but I did learn a lot about their admissions process. Even so, I decided to reapply for Spring 2020. Since we are nearing the end of August I thought I would share what I have learned over the past six months.

Receiving an email stating that they received your application is neither a positive nor a negative, it just means that they have received your application.

Acceptances are given via email with a follow-up phone call to discuss scholarships.

In contrast, waitlist and rejections will be received by snail mail only.

However, all acceptances, waitlists and rejections will ultimately receive the "official letter" in the mail.

I would not check your email compulsively until the end of the month... At least thats what I am trying to do lol.

In previous threads for Spring , people have received acceptances on Aug 31-Sep.2nd.

Acceptances are given out in one big batch that generally spans 3 days in a row. Admissions decisions (waitlist or rejection) are delivered in separate batches after the initial acceptance decision release. If you don't hear in the first 3 days that admissions releases acceptances you probably were waitlisted or rejected.

The waitlist does not move much. I was only aware of one person who was pulled off the Fall 2019 waitlist. It is possible that more were pulled off the list but it does not move as much as other waitlists.

I am stating this information bluntly because I feel that the admissions process is so ambiguous. Everyone hears something different, or interprets the information different from the admissions office. I just know that if I had this information for the Fall 2019 cycle it would have saved me a lot of stress. I hope this information is useful and I wish everyone the best of luck!

I have been waitlisted twice I applied 2018, and 2019 because JHU has an amazing MSN program and I did not want to leave Maryland...fingers crossed things go my way this time

How is everyone planning on paying for this program if they get in? I expect it to be about 150k total including living expenses, which is a very hefty price tag.

Hey guys! VwBee89 has provided some great information! I just want to add that if you don't heard after you notice a batch of acceptance emails/calls has been given out, it could mean that they still haven't reviewed your application. You can call and ask the status of your application. I applied for the fall and didn't hear anything till 2-3 weeks after the initial acceptance were send out!

Rather than in the fall, they accepted me for the spring! Best of luck to you all! Remember, everything works out for a reason.

wow! congrats Krista4, I guess the rest of us should start hearing from them in a few days time. Best of luck to us all

I am thinking this weekend!

do you think they'd send over the weekend??
