John Tyler Nursing Program Spring 2015

U.S.A. Virginia

Hi,

I'm just curious if anyone applied for JTCC nursing program for Spring 2015? I applied in August and heard there was a lot of applicants this semester.

I was told you can take the Teas 3 times a year. I applied to both programs too.

I wanted to apply to both programs also, but they choose which program for you if you apply to both. They said that to them if you applied to both then they interpret that was you are capable to handle either one. I've taken all online classes, so I think that they would choose the hybrid for me, but I want to be in the traditional program more than the hybrid. They also said that applying to both programs doesn't increase your chance of getting in. For those who are wondering who "they" are, "they" are the instructors and advisers of the nursing program.

Good luck to everyone! I applied to both tracks too, as well as J. Sargeant Reynolds. I'm not surprised there were around 200 applications, but it's obviously worrisome since they only take 60-70 students, Reynolds is trying to take 80. I don't have an awesome GPA (3.57) for the application and only an 88% on TEAS. We're so close to finding out and I hope you all post updates! I've applied previously to Bon Secours and VCU accelerated and have clearly not been accepted, so I'm looking forward to hopefully being a nursing student soon. Best of luck y'all!

How will they contact us? Email or mail or what?

They will contact us by our jtcc email, which I've been checking a billion times a day. lol

I applied only to the traditional. I have a 4.0 gpa and scored 98th percentile on the TEAS. I'm hoping to get in, because I don't see how I could do any better on those numbers.

I called JTCC yesterday and asked when they would be notifying candidates and I was told within the next five days via email.

Has anyone else called and if so, what were you told??

In case anyone is interested, J. Sarge just extended their deadline to apply for spring 2015 to December! They're looking for 80 students, so if you don't get into JTCC, that may be an option for some, if you live close enough or are willing to commute downtown.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the info. I may apply to J. Sargent if I don't get into JTCC nursing program.

I haven't called, but if the information that you received it true, then it is getting pretty close. I'm so anxious and excited to find out if I got in or not. Good luck to everyone!!!

I just checked my email and nothing. I saw that the Spring 2015 class schedule has been posted for JTCC.

I applied to Bon Secours this past spring and was told that they had over 600 applicants.

I actually got to meet with a nursing advisor at JTCC and she went over my GPA and my TEAS score with me. I really appreciated her taking the time to meet with me before I applied. That was more than Bon Secours offered to do. All of the nursing staff I have met so far at JTCC have been very caring people.

Good luck to you all!!

I'm thinking if it's going out by end of the week, they'll wait until Friday afternoon. That way they have the weekend buffer before people start calling with all their questions. The auto reply when I submitted my application said end of the month, so this would still be 2 weeks early.
