John Tyler CC Spring 2019

Published

Hello all! I didn't see a thread for the JTCC ADN Spring 2019 class yet so I thought I'd start one. Applications were due on Friday so now we're just in the waiting game :)

Anyone else with me?

That's crazy! I read the spring 2017 threads and there were a few people who had scored in the 70s that got in. I guess this shows how the program is becoming more competitive each year. I heard that fall is more competitive and has more applicants then the spring semester.

Has anyone seen an accurate cost breakdown per semester? I'm looking at doing the concurrent BSN program to finish at the same time as the RN but I would have to pay for JT out of pocket and be reimbursed through the University for any loans I get.

I wanted to know the same thing. The concurrent program is with ODU right? So you also be paying odu as well as jtcc? I haven't the cost for it anywhere online though

Yes ODU. The student loans would go to ODU then they'd pay me the overflow to cover JTCC but I'd have to come out of pocket Bc the reimbursement doesn't come in time to stay enrolled at JT :(

I have a call scheduled this week with the health sciences enrollment coordinator, so hopefully he can give me a little info. From what I've found, first semester at JT is around or a little over $3000 with me already having A&P

Are you speaking with the odu rep at JTCC or someone who is at odu? I saw the app for the concurrent program is due in october so if accepted you would have to meet with the rep quickly in order to get the application process going.

Rep to ODU. Admission to the university is due in October but the concurrent app is due 11/15 so he said.

Oh! So that gives plenty of time! I hope I get accepted. I would love to do the concurrent program and move onto a DNP program. Hopefully since were paying towards 2 schools, and most of the classes are online ODU won't charge normal rates.

They actually charge $20 higher than usual for online so it's around $379 a credit.

I got one bachelors from them online before.

I guess I'll be getting a loan also. My job will pay for my John Tyler classes but I'll have to pay out of pocket for the ODU classes. Paying for 2 degrees at once is costly.

Hey! I applied this year too! I am anxious and excited to hear back but I know it is a waiting game. This is my first time applying. Good luck to everyone!

Hey! I am right there with you guys the wait has me so nervous. Just trying to stay busy with work. Good luck everyone!

Hey all!

I have applied as well, when do you guys think we'll hear back if we're accepted or not??
