Hello all! I didn't see a thread for the JTCC ADN Spring 2019 class yet so I thought I'd start one. Applications were due on Friday so now we're just in the waiting game :)
Anyone else with me?

I'm in the same boat also. The waiting game seems to be the toughest part. I've heard that each year the program becomes more competitive so I hope my application doesn't fall short. Are you guys feeling good about your chances?
Feeling somewhat more confident after finding out that they rank applicants by TEAS scores as long as they are otherwise qualified. I did pretty well on the TEAS. I also have an application in for Bon Secours' program, which I feel slightly less confident about. I was a C student for my first bachelors degree (12 years ago) and my GPA will hold more weight for that application. I'm not sure which of these two programs I'd choose if I somehow got into both. JTCC ADN *would* allow me to work sooner and potentially get tuition reimbursement when I go back for the RN>BSN. I guess I'll find out in 6-8 weeks:nailbiting:

Hi!!! I applied for hybrid track. I'm so nauseated waiting to hear. I'm scared. Lol
Same!!
Did you guys apply for both or just the hybrid? I hope by applying to both it increases our chance of acceptance
I not applied to hybrid. It said somewhere they strongly encourage you to only apply to one so I took my chances.
Really?! Oh man, I hope it doesn't hurt my application... I really just couldn't decide. Both options seemed fine. I wonder if there was a large applicant pool this time around.
I applied to both, with hybrid as my first choice. I never heard/read that and I'm really hoping it didn't hurt my chances as well! I thought it would give me a better chance. When I met with my advisor she told me they get a ton of applicants every semester. I wish I could remember the number she gave me, but I know it was up there because she was explaining how many they have to go through and they only have 250 spots total (don't quote me on the numbers... it's been a while since I met with her). I do remember specifically that she said a TEAS score of 80 or higher, you're most likely going to get in. She said anything in the high 70's is when you will likely be compared to the other applicants with your gpa of those five core classes that you list on the application. I hope this helps ease everyone's minds a little! It's the only thing keeping me sane through this process, so I really hope she was correct!!

Hey all, I was recently waitlisted for VCU (with a 4.0), after getting over the initial shock and depression that brought me, i decided to apply to John Tyler for spring 2019. I scored an 82 on the Teas. What do you think my chances of getting in are? I also applied to bon secours and j sarge.. hopefully someone will accept me. In the mean time I'm attending my junior year at VCU taking random electives and finishing my last class for my associates degree from John Tyler.
My advisor said last semester no one that was accepted had lower than a 80 on the TEAS!! I got an 86. So nervous!! I saw somewhere there was around 140 applicants in some past rounds. I heard there was like 30 spots for hybrid and 50 for regular, not sure about how reliable that info was though!
