Hey guys! I wanted to start a thread for those who have applied and those who are looking to apply. Applications are due on the 29th and follow up documents are due February 5th 2021 at 4:00 p.m. (CST) Good luck to everyone!

Did anyone else get an offer for Trauma/Surgical PCU ? Looking to get to know who all else !

I did! And from cardiac PCU.

That’s awesome congratulations! Can I ask how you’re making the decision? I’m in between choosing a neurology/pulmonary position at a different hospital or taking JPS since trauma seems so interesting but could be overwhelming so IDK ...but I have no experience with either..LOL also JPS doesn’t require a contract correct ?

Correct, there’s no contract for JPS, which is super nice! I have been working at JPS about 10 months now & I love it! It will be amazing experience bc it’s a level 1 trauma center and county hospital. Most people say 1 year nurse experience at JPS is like 2-3 years at some other hospitals. It is a teaching hospital and the residency program should prepare you really well into having your own patients:) but definitely follow where your passion is at!

Has anyone else accepted a position in ICU? Trying to get to know others that will be along for the ride with me :)

 I have applied for Med-Surg and after more than 1 month, they emailed me and said I am on waitlist ?. What is that mean? Do they even call people from the waitlist?

Yea I got waitlisted a while back as well and have not heard anything.
