John Muir Fall 2012- New Grad

Hey was wondering if anyone got a phone call for John Muir New grad program in Walnut Creek???

Any insight into the process would much appreciated!!!

I am external. Actually went to school in Philly but from the area. I did briefly volunteer at John Muir before the whole re-model back in 2007 though. I actually just found out I was hired into the Nurse Residency program at UC Davis though so sadly I will not be going to the panel interview. Davis starts June 4th and there is no way JM will have made decisions by then... but super grateful to have a job at a great hospital even if I do have to move to Sacramento! Good luck to you all!

And best advice I can offer to those in the search, apply to as many jobs as you possibly can write cover letters for (I applied to at least 70-80), get ACLS and/or PALS certified and network, network, network!

Can someone please tell me if I can still apply for John Muir and where to find the link? I graduate in 2 weeks from CSULB with my BSN and I have been stocking John Muir's website and set up a job agent A LONG time ago. I havnt seen any news of a new grad program. I am will be so sad if I missed my opportunity. When is the projected start date for the new grad program? Thanks to anyone who will reply to this :) :)

Hi malpal89....The new grad application was on the JM website starting on Apr 28 and ending only 48 hours later. They had 640 applicants for 12 positions. I'm sorry!! :-( Maybe call HR and tell them that you had set up a job agent and did not receive any notifications? Good luck and congrats on almost being done with nursing school - woo hoo!!!

Hi! I have no idea how many people they're interviewing, which is probably better that I don't know. She only told me that they're hiring 12. :-/

malpal89- I also set up a job agent many months ago but it NEVER alerted me. I just got lucky that I saw the posting on Indeed.com the day it closed and got my application in on time :( I would definitely check job websites (like indeed) daily (in addition to hospital sites at places you really want to work) b/c the new grad applications close VERY QUICKLY!
