John Hopkins Hospital Nurse Residency Program 2019

Published

Hello everyone, I graduate in May of 2019 and I wanted to begin a forum for graduates applying to John Hopkins Hospital GN program.

@Living2Learn I was just invited to interview for the ICU bridge program! They asked me to pick 5 dates I'm available to go to Baltimore and also asked for 5 references. Did you pick your dates yet?

Congrats! I haven’t picked my days yet. I actually got an invite to complete the references, but they haven’t asked me for dates yet. Did they email them both to you at the same time?

Hi,

I was also invited to interview but for a peds unit. I was asked for three dates not five. I sent my dates in but haven't heard anything back yet. I also never received a link for references. I only just received my invite to interview on Thursday, though. I'm thinking about maybe calling tomorrow to see about that. I want to give my references enough time to respond. For those who have received it, it's only an online component and not actual recommendation letters correct? As that would call for more time. Is anyone looking to start in February/March 2020? Should we create a 2020 thread?

I guess the email might be different for everybody. My email told me to respond with 5 dates Im available and that I will also receive a link with instructions on how to complete the references in 24-48 hours. The recruiter said the references will be completed through SkillSurvey. And yea we should definitely start a 2020 thread!

You input the person’s name, email, phone number and your relationship into this platform, then it sends like one of those application surveys to your references where you rate someone 1-10. It’s only about 20 questions and takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. They don’t ask for LOR’s, but they said that they may call the references to confirm information. I called last week and left a message because I haven’t gotten an email to schedule interviews, but maybe that’s because of the unit I chose?

Just started a new thread! "Johns Hopkins Hospital Nurse Residency Program 2020"

Hello everyone! I just accepted an offer on the CVSICU at Johns Hopkins and will also be starting on August 5. I am relocating from Michigan. I've heard that Federal Hill is a great place to live for new graduates. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I will also be looking for a roommate if anybody else is also in need of one!! Let me know. ?

Hey KBNurseRN, was looking at some old threads of the new grad RN program here at Hopkins. I am currently preparing to interview for the CVSICU and wanted to know what you thought of the new grad residency program/unit. Any info would help, thanks!
