Does anybody know of a job I can get with my BSN and not my nursing license. I have taken the NCLEX 5 times now and have not yet been successful so I'm trying to see if there's anything out there that will pay more than an aide!!! I'm thinking along the lines of a drug rep, but any other suggestions are definitely welcome!!THANKS SO MUCH!
This may apply...I spoke w/a nurse recruiter here at a local hospital. she said there are no openings for me as a new grad RN-BSN, but there will be in Feb. She said if I want to get my foot in the door (and I need to go thru their process of Nurse Intern to GN anyway) then I might want to apply as a CNA or Unit Secretary. I'm thinking it's rather punitive yet at the same time, I am only accumulating more debt, not workign, and if more time elapses, I'm gonna forget how to even put on my stethoscope!
It's been months for me since being in a clincal setting. My role transition in my final semeseter was in Geri Psych.
Does this help any? What are you doing now for work?
yes, i did consider that as well, i started to look on my hospital's website for available jobs...i have to look into more detail though because most say that u need experience. i know there's case workers that work with a social work degree and the one's on my floor are RN's, but still i know it's a possibility...thanks!
Sorry, but they must still hold a license to practice here. The BSN is a degree only and is not a license and cannot be used in place of one.
It may depend on which state you're in. I'm currently in Michigan with a BSN and no license and I currently work as a clinical research coordinator.
Clinical Research Coordinators are not always nurses, if they are required to be one, then they must hold a license to practice as one.
Depends more on the project that one was hired for than anything else. Any job that requires a license, needs to have a license and a degree will not take the place of it.
