  1. hey, yea i just posted a reply to u in another thread!!! i graduated in may of 2006 and still have not passed...my managers didnt even know i took it the last few times! im sure they dont care cuz we're so short staffed with the techs on my floor anyway! it's best off not telling ANYONE ANYTHING, that's what i did when i took it last week...i told 2 people total!!! the one i told was the one that brought it to my attention that my GN permit was now listed as being 'null and void' and not 'expired' i just dont know what to think!! go on the website and check yours..it should say expired. and then check someone that passed..their GN says null and void' and there's a RN license issued
  2. hey i took it 6 times already..the past 5 times i had all 265 and I'm from PA also! I'm still waiting on the results from Tuesday the 18th...as I posted on another thread, my GN permit now says it's null and void, which is what it says when u pass; it's just that there's no RN license issued..im very perplexed! The 1st time u fail your test, your GN permit says it's 'expired' so that's why I'm like stuck in the middle here and dont know what to think!!!
  3. yea..i still didnt get the big brown failure envelope either...does anyone think that's weird that it changed to null and void???
  4. Hey Everybody... OK so I'm waiting to see if i passed on my 6th attempt. One of my friends brought it to my attention that the status of my Graduate Nurse Practice Permit is "null and void" (this is the state of PA by the way.) When you fail, your status is "expired" and when you pass, there is a Registered Nurse license issued, which is listed under your GN one, and the status of your GN permit goes to "null and void." Does anyone think this is odd? Like, did I pass or what?!?! Did anyone hear about this before? If so, I'd love to hear your input!! Thanks!!
  5. Guys..I'm sharing my many times of failures with you...can u imagine what I'm going thru?!?! 75-F 265-F 265-F 265-F 265-F 265---still waiting..took it Tuesday!! yes i had all 265 5 times in a row....i need a new career!
  6. hey your comment about getting the last question right/wrong determines if u pass is BULL...i think i may hold the record for taking the NCLEX a lot of times...and i had all 265 every single time....i know of at least 3 of the 6 times (there i gave it away) i DEFINITELY had the last question correct and still failed....if the last question is not in the passing range, you're below the passing standard!! I'm still waiting on if i passed this time...I took it on Tuesday the 18th and am still waiting! Good luck to u though!
  7. yes, i did consider that as well, i started to look on my hospital's website for available jobs...i have to look into more detail though because most say that u need experience. i know there's case workers that work with a social work degree and the one's on my floor are RN's, but still i know it's a possibility...thanks!
  8. well right now i work as a technical partner, which translates to an aide. when u dont pass your boards u drop from a GN to a tech...the pay sux, but the benefits are good! that's why i kinda wish i could stay within this hospital, but i dont really know what else is available!
  9. Does anybody know of a job I can get with my BSN and not my nursing license. I have taken the NCLEX 5 times now and have not yet been successful so I'm trying to see if there's anything out there that will pay more than an aide!!! I'm thinking along the lines of a drug rep, but any other suggestions are definitely welcome!! THANKS SO MUCH!
  10. hey! well if you have heard that getting the last question right or wrong determines if you pass/fail..it's not true. i just took mine for the 5th time on aug 8th, and got all 265 for the 4th time in a row, i believe this is getting ridiculous and feel as though my BON has something against me! but anyway, the 4th time i took the test, i KNEW i had the last one correct, but still failed. i also believe this time i got the last one correct as well, but if that question is not 'above the passing standard' and you get it correct, you dont pass. im still waiting for results, i dont think it's looking too good because nothing was on the website today, but im staying positive and thinking that because i wasnt done with my test on wed until 430 pm that that may have something to do with it and it will show up tomorrow or monday!! if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask me, i love to talk about it because not too many people know that i took it that many times, and i feel as though im the NCLEX QUEEN!
  11. i took mine on aug 8th as well (in PA) and there's nothing up on the BON site..i am still trying to stay positive because i started the test at 12 and didnt get out of there til 430 pm (i had all 265 AGAIN!) so i'm hoping that may have something to do with it not showing up today!! good luck to u though!
  12. well i beat u because i took mine for the 5th time, yes i said 5th time, yesterday and had all 265 questions for the 4th time in a row (i had 75 the 1st time) so imagine all that torture ive been thru!! ive been going in there with such a positive attitude and the tutor i was going to said i was so ready, so i guess we'll just wait and see. but u just need to keep your head up and stay positive and good luck to u tomorrow!!! p.s. what is this "suzanne's plan" that i see mentioned on here?
  13. So I took my boards for the 4th time 2 days ago and no results are up on PA's website....for the 3rd time in a row I had all 265 questions so I know what that's like..the 1st time I had 75 so I know how it is both ways!! So is it true that answering the last question correctly means you passed? This time I know the last question was correct, but I should have found out today...another thing I'm contemplating is that I scheduled my test at 10 a.m. and not the usual 8 a.m. and it took me 5 hours to complete the test so do anyone think that's why I didn't get results today??? HELP ME TRY TO STAY POSITIVE!
