It is a very tough market right now for new grads. If you have a pretty good chance of getting a new grad position where you are I would do that and then come here as an experienced nurse. Even with LPN experience acute care will consider you a new grad. Might be considered in long term care though.
I grew up in Omaha. We don't get a lot of snow here in DFW but we do get ice and the cold here often feels colder than what I grew up with due to the dampness of it. If you want warm winters you will need to go further south than Dallas. :)
Rural areas are hiring more easily than metroplex areas. BSN is getting hired more than ASN. In state is getting hired before out of state.
Good luck!

I am considering a move to the Dallas area (northern side). I have had 1.5 years of experience on a medical surgical unit as a LPN. I work PRN in a TCU, I work PRN at a nursing home and am currently working as a LPN in a walk-in clinic attached to a large hospital (since April). I graduate with my BSN in December and am currently doing my practicum in ICU. Do hospital employers consider LPN hospital experience into their requirements or am I better off getting my one year of experience where I am and then looking a move south?
