Hello everyone, I need a really good advice, I have been looking for jobs and I got a few call backs. So which of these would be best to take?
1. A SNF/ LTC Subacute unit- 12 hour shift and probably evening shifts which is 45 mins away from my home. I was interviewed today. And the coordinator will give me a call back by monday or after the survey.
2. A SNF-rehab needing a treatment nurse and medication nurse which is 3 minutes in my house. Im going for the interview on tuesday.
I have a year of experience as Lvn.

Even though the commute is farther, I'd probably take the first job due to the 12 hour shifts. I've worked five 8-hour shifts per week in SNF rehab and it felt like hell on earth due to the perception of being there all the time.

I would take the second one just because a 45 minute drive to work sounds awful to me! But it depends on what is most important to you. Is driving 45 minutes a big deal to you? How did you feel at the first place? Was it welcoming, did people seem happy there, etc. What about pay, is there a notable difference between the two? I think you should wait until after your interview at the second place to see how you feel there and then compare the two :)
