World Immigration

Published

Hi friends,

I am just concerned because while waiting for my priority date, I already have a 6-month gap hospital experience. I just want to know if it will affect my US immigration application and obtaining a nursing job in the US? I am an ER nurse but with a 6 months gap of work experience. Hoping for a response. Thank you.

When is your priority date? Is it current?

In one of your previous posts you say that your priority date is Sept 2012 the current PD is April 2011 so hopefully you are looking for or either working so the 6 months doesn't stretch because there is no telling how long you have. You could be looking at another 12 months or so. It is up to the employer if they feel that the gap will affect your job situation

My PD is Sept 2012 Justbeachynurse. Thanks silver dragon. I am currently working, however there is a 6 month gap between my previous and present job. I am just worried that it might hinder my job application in the US.Just like in Saudi Arabia in which most of the big hospitals do not accept applicants with over 6 months gap. I hope its different in the US. Thanks again for the reply. I appreciate it.

If you have a PD you should have a employer. If working then I doubt that the 6 month gap will be held against you
