Job Interview-took forever!

Published

Just wanted to vent a little. Is it normal for a job interview to last 70 minutes??!! Well, i had two ladies interviewing me at the same time and asking questions. It was for a home care aide position(part time, while i'm doing my PN program). Anyhow, they gave me alot of scenario type situations that i had to answer. I think i did good and gave them what they wanted to hear. But man, it was the toughest interview i had in years! The ladies, who i believe were RN's seemed to like me. I hope i got the job. :uhoh3: :)

Thanks for listening.

Congratulations! I hope all goes well with your job. If the facility is willing to put that much effort into interviewing prospective employees, then hopefully they will put effort into keeping them happy.

How about being interviewed by the nurses on the unit? Talk about pressure?????

70 minutes does not sound bad to me, but rather, they are INTERESTED in you! I would not stress this one out.

I had an interview on Monday for a Home Care position. The first 20 minutes was answering multiple choice questions. "Do you like people: strongly agree, agree, neither disagree or agree, disagree, strongly disagree". Yep, about 6 pages of this. :uhoh3: THEN I had to watch a 20min. video about the 'corporation'. Then I had to write an few sentences about my interpretation of the video:uhoh3: . THEN I met a person to interview. :) Turns out she was the one to see, before I see...:uhoh3: They checked my references, called back today and on Friday all am I am "shadowing" a nurse "to be sure I really want the job". THEN AFTER that, I am meeting with THREE people for an interview. I was kind of nervous, but now after seeing 70min!!!! I am scared to death. I'll probably be one bit armpit sweat...:uhoh21: :uhoh21: :uhoh21:
