Job Interview at the Birthing Center

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Hi everyone!

I have an exciting news, I just received a call this morning for an interview at the Birthing Center. Yes! My dream job and my first interview. I am very nervous.

I know it's just the beginning for me because I am a new grad. I started my job hunt

July 22 and applied to about 16 places and got denied 6/16.

I am so lucky to have this opportunity. Thanks to my commitment in volunteering, job shadowing, and my perseverance this wouldn't have happened.

Tips: Oh, sending out resume and cover letters via mail will make you stand out.

I don't know the out come yet but I will keep everyone posted on my job hunting adventure!

Specializes in Geriatrics, Dialysis.

Best of luck! I hope you get the job.

Specializes in L&D, Orthopedics & Public Health.

I worked as a CNA at a BC while getting my LPN. Once I got my LPN, I worked as the post delivery nurse for the moms and well babies. I loved it!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

How awesome!!! That is so exciting to hear a lot of LPN's around my area aren't hired for L&D and PP nursing due to the increased demand for RN's to fill these positions so it''s encouraging to hear there's still opportunities out there. Best of luck to you!

Thank you !!! It was def. scary but it lasted for about 15 min. I sat and talked with the assistant manager and with an LPN that works there. They were very nice and had explain what its expected as a O.R LPN in the the labor and delivery unit and that they need someone who can think on their feet... Pretty much someone who can handle a high stress job. They ask me about my background and value as a team. It's also nice that she reassure me that other interviewers don't have experience either and that's what she is looking for because she want us to be trained the way the team likes.

I feel great about it but it will take weeks to hear back due to the summer and HR issues.

I am now waiting and praying.

I will still be on the Job hunt.
