Hello everyone,
I have a screening interview for correctional with the State this Friday. I know that I need to dress conservative and professional.
Sorry if it's TMI, I'm heavy chested petite, 5'2, 115lbs and currently 32DD. My chest measurement really affects my outfit options.
I want to wear a pantsuit but for the jackets that fit my chest, the sleeves are way too long. For the ones that fit properly length wise, I can't button
Without jacket, all button shirts look bad on me because of my heavy chest and I don't want to draw attention there.
I don't know what to do. Please share inputs!
Thanks

Hem the sleeves.
I was thinking about that too, but the sleeves have 4 buttons at the end on each side. Even the buttons pass my wrist. Would it look weird?
Take the buttons off and tack any slit closed.
That's smart. Tx

Find a tailor and keep his or her name and number on file. They're usually a bargain, and the quality of the work is far better than anything I can do on my own, especially if it requires creating new buttonholes or reworking anything with a lining. My seamstress charges $6 to shorten sleeves. When I lost weight, I had a $250 suit that no longer fit me. I paid her $60 to take the entire jacket in by opening up the sleeve in the back. Once finished it look better than when I had originally bought it, and for $60 -- total for work on jacket, skirt and pants -- I had two new outfits that fit me perfectly.
