Any one planning to attend the ADVANCE job fair at Jacob center on Tuesday? If you are,,,, do you think NEW GRADS would have some chance?

I was also discouraged at first like you guys. I was sending out my resumes everywhere and no luck. I also attended the advance job fair about three years ago and experienced the same thing. I couldnt believe the response. Anyway I did have a good experience with this ob fair in the end and would say do not discredit these events. I think this is the best and easiest way to actually get noticed. While i was at this job fair a recruiter actually came up to me with a big smile and inquired about me. Her response was so welcoming as a new grad. She gladly took my resume, gave me her email and said to write her as soon as i get home and she would set up an interview. I was blown away by her. In a few weeks I had the interview and have been working for the hospital ever since.

Ive been to a few job fairs at the Javits center all by advance and it never proved worthy until this year AFTER I got my BSN, I was called in for an interview but I did not get the job.

TBH I dont feel like its worth much of the trouble for new grads because theres so many there and the recruiters always seem to look for experienced nurses, then again it does not hurt to try!
