I posted a while ago in the Illinois section. No reply so I thought I'd see if it was just because its just not an active area or if there is no one on here from JJC. So anyway, anyone put in their application during the Aug 1st-15th open application? I applied for the night program and am currently waiting for an email saying they have accepted my application and when the TEAS test dates are.
I'd love to meet some other JJC students. If we get into the program we can set up study groups. By the way I've been through the first semester (long story, don't want to repeat what I've already posted here). I can share my experience.
If no one applies I'll assume the new applicants haven't found this great site yet:D
Good luck you guys, I had a 4.0 prereq GPA when I applied and got an 87 on the TEAS and I was denied. I was still in A&P II at the time though so that might be what screwed me. I Probably could have gotten in for this fall, but since I now had an extra semester to burn I took English 102, statistics and the rest of the prereqs I needed for a BSN and transferred to St. Francis. Seemed kind of pointless to start at JJC this fall when I could start here and have my BSN with just one extra semester of school.
Have fun in micro if you have *****. His tests are insanely hard.

hi zach. i read your post on the other thread on jjc and i think you took the
older version of the teas when a score in the 90's is what you needed to be
competitive. probably that and the fact that you didn't finish all your
prerequisites had a lot to do with it. i have [color=#366388]***** for micro and i agree that
his tests are really hard if you don't study. i so far have an a in that class
though cause i study my but off! i was thinking the private school route at one
point, but at this point in my life i'd rather not be saddled with 40k in
[color=#366388]student loans. i plan on continuing to get my bsn and hopefully have my
employer pay for it. good luck at [color=#366388]st. francis, i hear they have a great program!
I actually spoke to the secretary at the school today and she said that emails (on the new email accounts) will go out either next week or the week after - fingers crossed!!!
I wonder if they try to get them out before registration begins?? that way if we don't get in, we still have a decent chance to get our classes. I have priority registration for the 19th I think, so before then maybe??? i hope!! this waiting is driving me crazy'!~

Flutterbye,
Really. I've heard from a couple people that we might find out this week, but when I ask the Nursing Department they are so vague with any information. I'm so nervous that I swear I won't sleep well until I find out...good or bad! I'm pretty sure I won't get in, because I don't have A&PII, but I'm still hoping :)

Sorry, I was referring to ENG 101. (I took it at a different school, and they called it Comp 101 there) It is included in your gpa computation, though. I think they compute your gpa based on ENG101, Psych 101, Psych 215, AP 250, and AP 251. I was thinking about retaking it, but decided against it. I'm hoping one B won't make or break me!
