@melcuba  thank you same here. My union well help as well. I don’t qualify for financial aid since I already have my bachelors so I hope they willing to work with me

I believe you still need to fill one out because the loans will be subsided and unsubsidized federal student loans, the school does have a payment plan. Nonetheless they will make sure you apply for loans or do what you must . Don't worry about it too much.

@melcuba thank you I read they pressure you about the payments

Hey guys, I have no idea if anybody is going to see this, as this is my first time ever writing on here.

I am applying in January for the LPN to RN transition program at Muhlenberg. I have some questions that I can't seem to find the answers to and I'm hoping somebody can help me PLEASE!

I know how the program works with the six week transition in the Summer and the two semesters, but regarding the two semesters, how many days a week do you need to attend and how many hours per day? Also, do you need to show up for lab practice on different days, or is all of that included? I have all of my pre-reqs, except for two, which I am completing one now and I'm going to CLEP the other one... I'm super excited. I'm having a baby in 3 weeks (11/11) and am trying to start this program in May... I've been an LPN since 2014 and it's finally my time to go back.

also if anybody has any thing they want to tell me about the school, I am totally interested. I tried to directly message one of you guys, but it's not letting me and I don't know how to work it LOL

thanks in advance!
also my email is [email protected] if anybody who has info can please contact me! I don't know how to use this platform well, at all. ???

@melcuba hi I'm interested in the same program of RN to Lpn ,I passed my NCLEX 2019 but haven't work as an Lpn even though I have my license. I have done all the prerequisites just need to take TEAS exam and apply. Do you think I can still be considered for the program though I haven't worked yet? Thank you

@melcuba I posted a previous comment but not sure if I tagged you correctly, I had a question about the program you are in as I would like to apply to also , I currently hold an Lon license since 2019 but haven't worked yet, I have all my prerequisites for the Lpn to RN bridge program, I'm studying to take the TEAS so I can apply, do you think I have a chance at getting accepted? How was your application process? Any tips on the essay and what if they ask me why I haven't worked. I'm going to start looking for jobs now any recommendations on where I should apply as a "new grad" due to experience, thank you.

Yes you have a great chance getting in, as long as your TEAS score meets minimum requirements. The essay just asks why and what is your inspirations to becoming an RN. I knew several new grads LPN'S that went straight into the bridge. I Graduated in June 2021. It's challenging, stressful but you will be prepared.

Try assisting living facilities not too stressful and you can get experience, home care as well.

@melcuba thank you soooo much for answering back I'm just getting the hang of how to use this site , I'm not going to lie LOL I'm nervous about applying but it's worth the shot I'm going to study this whole month coming up hoping to get into the may class. I guess what really worries me is the transition Summer course because I've been out of school and not working. As I've mentioned I did all my prerequisites after 2020 so I'm that area I'm OK Microbiology (took it in UCC because MCC gave me too many issues) was probably the toughest class because they know a lot of people want to go to nursing programs, the info itself isn't hard. I even took some humanities courses that way I won't have to take them down the line . Thank you again for answering back, hope all is going well for you.

Your welcome! The Summer transition is OK but its 6 weeks long Monday thru thurs either day or night. From 4pm til 9pm I did. It's just to catch you up with the rest of students entering 3rd semester as you will be after the transition.

During the other semesters 2 days of lectures during the week and 2 days of clinicals. You can opt to do weekend clinicals one day on sats or Sunday 12 hours.

That's pretty good, the hours you chose, I would probably end up doing the 2 day clinical LOL. How are the professors? even before doing my Lpn program way back when I got out of hs I tried to get into the school but the regular track, the part of the exam I didn't do well was the reading/writing. Is there by book in particular that you feel really helped you with the TEAS exam? Thank you again .

Professors are good, some are kinder than others, get study partners be nice to fellow classmates, some have study guides that they may share. For the TEAS I used the TEAS study book and some questions were identical to the book. Get the book it will help you to identify the areas that you need to improve. I will link the book I used.

I see that you said you can do clinicals either one day for 12 hours or split it into two days, and then you have to attend lectures two days a week.
Can you tell me what the day hours are and what the evening hours are for clinicals and lectures? Trying to figure out how much babysitting I need!
Also, is it 4-9pm mon-thurs 6 weeks for the Summer transition? What if it was days, any idea the time? I know they rotate every year.
Thanks so much!
