Hi looking for information on jersey college. Anyone here attend the school? How is the program? Looking to attend lpn to RN program at Teterboro location.

I’m at Teterboro location for day. Nursing school in general is a lot. Clinical doesn’t start until third semester. The first two semesters are mostly general education.

That’s great. How are the instructors? I’m so nervous. I had a lot of prerequisites done but over 5 years ago and heard they don’t accept anything over 5 years so I might redo them now.

Instructors are good so far, always there for you. I was very nervous when I started due to classes being online. They don’t accept prerequisites that’s over 5 years. You can take challenge exam if they’re over 5 years, but I doubt if it helps to pass. They need a 75 or above on challenge exam to transfer credit. I took challenge exam for sociology, but didn’t make it to 75.

I’ll just redo them. I wonder if they accept credits from any college. I’m taking classes at Geneva. What happens if you take all the general classes before start? Do you just have to wait until that next semester?

Also, are you needing to stay on your computer from 7-3? Or is it just a certain amount needing to be done at a certain time? I’m asking because I have a toddler. LOL

I believe you’ve to have your transcripts sent out before you get accepted to transfer credits. They transferred one of my classes from another college. It shouldn’t be a problem as long as it’s from community or senior colleges.

You don’t have to be on 7-3pm schedule. Typical we’ve to only attend the live interactions which is 1x meeting per class per week for 1-2hours.

Oh wow. That is great to know. So maybe I should just do the day program. I’m just afraid if they plan to open up again I’ll need a sitter.

As of now, we don’t know when they will open up again. I do like the convenience of online school.

Me too. I’m hoping if anything when they do open they give up a choice between on campus or online. Another thing is it’s expensive. If I do the day it’ll be more expensive as I’m hoping to get financial aid and loans. I want it to cover the whole thing. Wishful thinking. LOL

Honestly, I don’t think they will give an option to choose between online and in campus. If they open up, it’s gonna be oneway (in campus) LOL. It is very expensive. They do offer FAFSA and loans. They also offer monthly payment plan options which is great.

@PennyMT an admissions rep sent me an email saying they’re anticipating to being online another 3-6 months, but may be sooner depending on how things go. I wish they would stay online too, then I’d definitely jump on board. I also have toddlers and it will be much more challenging to have to get to an actual campus as I live in Philly and hate driving. Decisions decisions....??

Ugh I hear you. Only 3-6 more months. Yeah that’s when I plan to start. LOL. I wish they can just stay online too. I looked into Indiana state but all of those prerequisites ugh.
