hi-

i was wondering if anyone has ever attended jeffco's nursing program--looking for any info--as jeffco is one of the cheapest schools for tuition--

thanx,in advance--:thankya:

Jeffco puts out great nurses. Excellent clinical skills. Jump in if you can. They usually have a waiting list but worth the wait.

hi crikitrn-

ur not going to believe this but stlcc is cheaper than jeffco-i couldnt believe it but when i compared pricing(and i am out of district for stlcc) i found stlcc to be approx 2k cheaper--i'm not sure but i think jeffco offers more nursing courses than stlcc--at any rate if u find a descrepancy with that would u let me know-as i thought i went over it pretty well--other than that tell me about ur experience at jeffco-would like to hear---thanks jakh

I graduated from Jeffco in 1994 as RN. All the instructors did a wonderful job.

McDaniels, Clayton, Eimer(who was stricken with cancer) she was wonderful loved them all. I feel they sent me out to work being completely competent and I would recommend Jeffco to anyone.

Specializes in LTC.

I'm a happy Jeffco grad; got my PN certificate and am back for the RN.

Check out the NCLEX pass rates, and also how many students who start the program actually finish. Saving money doesn't do you much good if you don't pass the NCLEX and can't practice. Some SLCC campuses seem to have better programs than others. Jeffco is inexpensive and effective.

Stats are available here for the PN; I can't seem to locate the RN stats:

They're down on page 5, under Associate's degrees or whatever the heading reads (sorry, it's very late)....looks like 91.something% for last year..

Specializes in Med/Surg, Geri, Ortho, Telemetry, Psych.

I got my LPN from JeffCo in 1994. I was so prepared for state boards that it only took me 20 minutes to take and pass them. In my jobs I felt (and so did the other nurses and supervisors) that I had extremely better skills than nurses who attended other schools. The passing rate that year was 100%, or close to it. Best decision I ever made.
