Hi, I see there are a lot of FACT students...anyone out there starting the traditional BSN Program this Fall or currently in it? I'm starting Fall and can't wait!
Has anyone here been waitlisted to a program at jefferson. I applied early (the first deadline) but they wanted to see my fall semester grades becuase I hadn't finished most of my science pre reqs for the bsn program. While they were waiting for my transcripts the program filled but now I can be on the waitlist. I guess I'm really just wondering if anyone has been on the waitlist to see if I should have hope to get in.
jwalk, are you on the waitlist for the regular 2-year BSN program? I know for a fact that at least some students who were on the wait list got in last year. In fact, one of them was because I changed my mind and decided to do the 1-year FACT program instead of the 2-year APW/BSN program. :) It's a pity they couldn't have conditionally accepted you, based on your other grades. But when I originally got accepted, I had the same issue you did. I had to wait and send my Fall transcripts. Luckily, they still had openings in the program last January. And then I went and changed my mind about which program I wanted.
I hate to say this, but with the economy so bad and with the student loan situation so whacked, some people will probably not be able to swing Jefferson financially. So I wouldn't be surprised if some people dropped out for that reason and you got in. :)
Meanwhile, are there other programs you can apply to and still get in in time for the Fall?
Best of luck!
Yea I'm on the waitlist for the traditional 2 year bsn program. I'm hoping something works out, but I am also trying to apply to other places now. So far I've applied to temple and drexel, but I really don't know where else to apply thats in Philly.
Check LaSalle out, too. And Villanova if you can commute to Villanova. I don't know what their deadlines are/were, though.
I'm on Jefferson's waitlist as well for the Prelicensure BSN program. And just FYI, I went to Villanova's info session and you only have til March 1 to apply for transfer into their BSN program. I decided against applying--it's really too far and it's just too expensive--even the coordinator said, the transfer students barely get any financial aid. I'm in La Salle's "Intending-Nursing" program, so now that I've finished all my prereqs (I did them at CCP), I have to go to an interview and take the NLN to see if they'll let me in the real deal. If not, I was accepted to CCP's nursing program and Abington's so at least I can get my RN...I can always go back and get the BSN and then my masters...I want to eventually be a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

Is TJU a 2year or 4year school? I'm interested in the BSN program.
