Jeff State Summer 2014 Hopefuls

Hi my name is Nicole I currently attend Jeff State at the Jefferson Campus. I applied for the nursing summer program and would like to see who else applied. Also any concerns, advice and encouragement that we could possibly give or tell each other!!!! Good Luck to all!!!!

I know! I have been checking this discuss like every 2 or 3 hours...lol. I'm hoping maybe someone will say if they found out if they were accepted or not.

As a student in the program, I will tell y'all to wait patiently. Every semester at this time, the faculty starts complaining about the constant phone calls and emails from people who are waiting to hear if they were accepted into the program. The phone calls take away from what they are trying to do. I know it's hard to be waiting but stop calling. It just frustrates the staff.

But you are still calling and interrupting the office and the people who actually call to tell you that you were accepted into the program. Just a little bit of friendly advice.

I think she and I have only called once, and I don't think it's bad since everyone else who has come before us did it also. We're excited. No, we are not bombarding them with phone call after phone call. And we're stuck in a weird situation because of the winter storm, so our understanding of "when we will know" is way off since we have nothing to go by.

Just because everyone before you has done it doesn't mean it's the best thing to do. I never said that y'all were bombarding them with phone calls. I was trying to offer a little bit of advice. Do what you want with it. As far as "when we will know" there is never a set time. We were told you will find out between these dates (it was a 3 week period). They will call when they get ready and it will take them a few days to call everyone too. But again, do what you want with the advice.
