Jeff State Spring 2014 Hopefuls

Hi everyone!! I currently attend Jeff State Shelby Campus. I am applying for the Spring this fall. I am so excited! I have taken the teas once but did not get the store I wanted so I am currently preparing to take it at least twice before the summer is out! So pumped...anyone else?

She said both but whichever email you put on your application as your primary address will be first.

When I was accepted, the called me and told me I had been accepted and asked me if I would like my spot. THEN they sent an email with all the info. If I can offer this little bit of advice, do NOT contact the class instructors. They start complaining every year at this time that they are getting emails from people who have applied wanting to know if they got in to the program or when they will find out if they got in. The instructors don't make these decisions. Don't get on their bad side before classes even start. Good luck!

Thank you!! I didn't know people were contacting instructors...lol, I just assumed they meant the advisors. I know it's only been 2 weeks and everyone else is just as impatient as I am but that's really not the way to go about things. I was told at first that we should know in 2 weeks but then later she told me I would know by the end of October. How long did it take for your class to find out?

Our applications we're due in May and we found out the 3rd wek of June. I would recommend getting ALL of your other classes out of the way. Nursing school is hard enough without having to deal with speech,psychology, etc.

Yeah, I totally agree. I will be done with all of mine after this term. I have a girl in my micro class that is already in the program and I don't know how she does it... I know it's going to be hard all by itself but I couldn't imagine still having regular classes too. How far are you in the program? Which campus?

I'm at the Shelby campus in the Nights/Weekends program. It is a 7 semester program and I am in semester 4 right now: Med Surg. It's something else!

Oh ok... How do you like the N/W program? I am kinda freaking about the full-time program (if I get in)... I'm worried that it's going to be so hectic from a mother/wife stand point.

Ok, so I have been jumping for my phone, checking ALL of my emails, and looking on this thread to see if anyone has heard anything...all bc I read on another thread (last years' spring) they said they got their emails around noon on the second week mark....omg! Lol has anyone heard anything? Or has anyone had the guts to call and ask anything? II know I'm too scared lol

Nope, I haven't heard anything yet. I don't think they would know anything if we called. She told me when I turned mine in that as soon as they knew, we would know. I'm surprised that it was that quick for last spring... I'm not sure how many people applied but I'm actually thinking it will be another week or 2 before we hear anything. I hope I'm wrong though because this is killing me!!!! Lol
