I'm applying to the Jefferson Campus for the upcoming Spring as well. I'm a bit nervous as I haven't took the TEAS V yet, but already have 90 points. I'm praying the TEAS will turn out okay. I spoke with an adviser and she said the cut off was around 190! My GPA is a 3.0 because of my first semester last spring. It was nothing like I expected as I was home schooled and I let certain classes slip being new to the whole "college concept!" Good luck to everyone, and I will keep everyone updated as well!! :)
@Aowings I'm sure you'll do great on the TEAS. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :) With 90 points I guess you've taken math and most of your sciences so it really shouldn't be too bad. Good luck :)

That's great!!! I turned my app in last week with 208.5 points. I applied to Jefferson(1st), Pell City (2nd) and Shelby (3rd). (MODERATOR EDIT OF INITIALS - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES/INITIALS OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) says there's a good chance I'll get my first choice. I'm super excited. Fingers crossed. Good Luck Everyone!!! Stay tuned :-)

I applied with 198.5 points to the clanton(1st) and shelby (2nd). I am so nervous, praying I get in!!! Good luck! Does anyone know how long it will take to find out??
The nursing advisor at the Jefferson Campus said about 4-6 weeks after today. Looking back over the thread for last year's JSCC Spring '12 class hopefuls, many of them stated they received either a phone call or email beginning the first week of November!! Some also said they noticed their program of study changed from pre-nursing to nursing in pipeline. I'm not sure if that has any merit or not. BUT My Fingers are crossed with you and Good LUCK!!! Let's all stay tuned!!!!:)

Good luck to all. I, also, submitted my app and I'm nervously waiting for a response. Does anyone know if they only consider you for the campus that you applied for or will they give you a choice afterward? Reason I ask is because I wasn't aware of the fact that you could apply for multiple campuses at the same time so I only selected Shelby, but after mapping the distance to the other campuses I figured that going to the Jefferson campus wouldn't be too bad of a drive. I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) about this today... Hopefully she'll be able to add Jefferson to my app. Does anyone know how this works?
Thanks for any info provided! :)
Hey!!
Its at the very top of the application. You can write in the order of your campus choices. So for example, I wrote in 1-Jefferson, 2-Pell City and 3-Shelby. Sounds like you did the right thing to call one of the advisors and find out how to correct the situation. Have you also tried calling (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) at the Jefferson campus? She's very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the program and she understands how we all want to make sure our applications are right. My fingers are crossed with you!
Good Luck
