Hello Everyone! So I know that I am not the only one on here who has turned in the nursing school application and is now frantically biting nails awaiting a response...I applied with 200.5 points--Shelby Campus. How many points did you apply with? What things have you heard about the nursing program? Come on..dish!
Hi logicalnonsense I will be attending the Jefferson Campus also.I took my CPR at the hoover fire station. I think it was $25. It took about 3hrs or so to complete. I don't think they mail out actual letters but we will get all the info at orientation. Hope that helps :)
I registered for the CPR class this Saturday at the Hoover Fire Station. That was a huge help since the other CPR classes I looked at were over $100! Thank you so much.

You are very welcome! Glad I could help and yes some of the other places charge a lot more to take the CPR class. I think I remember seeing that you are attending the Jefferson campus, which is where I am going. Look forward to meeting you and our other classmates.
I emailed one of the advisors because I never got a rejection letter in the mail (seeing as how people who got in got phone calls last week). She actually informed me that they are opening the applications back up and giving people a second chance to apply. I asked her what the original cutoff was, but she wouldnt answer that question. Has anyone known for them to do this before? Just wondering if they signifigantly lower the cutoff and how long the process takes the second time around??? Just wondering if it's worth it, or if I should just wait and apply for summer?
@rnwilliams01 I have no idea. I haven't heard of that before but maybe if you have time you should go up there and sit down with an advisor. They take walk-ins and are there to answer whatever questions you have. I havent heard what the cut off was but I know that I was told the highest its ever been was 186. And if they are opening it back up for sure, then I would reapply!!!!! U never know what happens if you don't try!! I logged on to my pipeline acct today and saw that my registration status changed from Pre-RN to RN!!!!! I guess that makes it official. Its a great feeling. I look forward to meeting all of you who will be attending at Shelby! So exciting!!!!
