Hello Everyone! So I know that I am not the only one on here who has turned in the nursing school application and is now frantically biting nails awaiting a response...I applied with 200.5 points--Shelby Campus. How many points did you apply with? What things have you heard about the nursing program? Come on..dish!

Hi I just reapplied to the Rn Program. I was accepted for the fall term and had started the program. I had been sick for several weeks and then came down with pneumonia and missed alot of important things from class. After making the decision to withdraw because of sickness i was told to reapply for the Spring term. I was going to the Shelby campus but decided I would accept a slot at either campus if offered one. I applied with 207.5 points.

Sorry to hear about u having to drop out, but it sounds like u won't have a problem getting back in. Due to family matters I had to drop out of the program at Lawson State in 2009. Needless to say, the point system has changed and I'm worried I won't have enough points to get in to jeff state. I'm starting to regret not applying to both campuses I only applied for shelby, it probably would have bettered my chances. Do u know what the cut off was for getting in the fall program? Good Luck!!
I have heard that the jeff state program is very competitive and if u get in it takes allot of reading and studying. I could hardly sleep last night and the deadline was just last week. I called the admissions office today and they said it would take 4-6 weeks to hear anything. It's gonna seem like forever. Good Luck!!!
Hi Mellisa. I hated to have to withdraw but it is a very fast paced program and I felt like that with what I missed I was not off to a great start. Yes there is A LOT of reading and studying. For the fall qtr it was about 6 weeks before we knew if we were accepted or not. and I believe the cutoff was at around 186 (but not sure). Good Luck to you!!!!

Hello!
Good luck to all who are applying for the spring 2012 semester! I'm currently in the 2nd semester of nursing school at Shelby. If I remember correctly, our cut off was around 180-170 for the summer session of 2011. I know that they are allowing more seats than before, I think the fall class started out with almost 100 seats.

I applied to the Spring 2012 RN program also. I had 207.5 points total. This waiting 4 to 6 weeks is KILLING me!!! I would just like to know one way or another. I was told we would either get a letter and if they were behind a phone call. Not sure why it takes so long to decide who gets in and who doesn't!!!!!

We're in our 3rd week of the waiting game! I cannot wait to hear one way or the other!! Hopefully it happens soon.

Does anyone know what the cuttoff usually is? I had a really good TEAS score...just wanting to know where I stand.
I have heard that it is around 185/186. Hope that helps
Oh really? Wow, ok I thought I may have a pretty good chance, but now I don't think so. I have a 180, so I doubt that will get me very far! For those who were wondering when we would hear, when I called last week they said that pre-registration is like the second or third week of November so we would know before then! Im starting to get very impatient too!!
Well I think it can change from one quarter to the next. I have heard that for the fall it was around one 186 (but that is just what I heard) I think it really depends on what scores everyone applies with so don't give up yet. I was accepted for the fall quarter and due to illness had to withdraw. Now I have applied for the Spring quarter and now I am waiting to see if I got back in. So this is my second time to wait! I think for the fall term it was about 5 or 6 weeks after the deadline before we knew. So it could be a while longer. Good Luck :)
