I noticed there were threads for the other semesters, so I thought I would get this one started. There's another week until the deadline, but I've finished everything I can do. Now it's just waiting.
I'm hoping to start the fall semester at the Jefferson campus. If I did the calculations correctly, I have 205 points on the checklist. Good luck everyone; I hope to see you this fall.
So at orientation they will give us like a checklist of all things we have to get done before class? I was wondering how they expected us to know what all to have done when they haven't told us anything but the background check. I mean I know we can ask friends or others who are in it all ready but I figured that can't expect to ask others if they haven't given us a list and deadlines....
At orientation we will get a packet with forms that have to be filled out and turned in that day, but it will also have other forms and the specific deadlines for the additional information. I think that due to reading other threads and knowing folks already in the program, a lot of people have a general idea of what will be required and have taken steps to get a jump on that stuff. But as for now, the only things we HAVE to have done is the background check submitted by Aug 3, and the receipt required to have photos for our ID badges taken at orientation. They don't expect anything other than what we have been specifically told to provide. Next week!! So excited!
Orientation for full time went great!! I have everything I need to start class, except CPR lol. I was going to tell everyone there are posters in the nursing building for people selling their books. I asked the instructors after orientation if we could use used text books and buy the code seperately and they said yes!! So I'm getting my books Friday from a friend :) so stoked to start :0)

At orientation the deadlines for attaing the required documentation will be given. The CPR card takes 4-6 weeks to be received but I was given a letter stating I took the CPR class and passed at health care provider level. I have a good friendWho is in the program, so I knew back in April what all was needed.
