  1. Did anybody catch how many sets of scrubs we're supposed to order?
  2. I started today in the daytime classes at the Jefferson campus. There was a little confusion over the schedule at first, but it got worked out. There was a little first day introductions, but that didn't stop us from jumping into the curriculum. I'm excited and nervous still. And now, back to studying.
  3. Local Fire Dept's are a good place to check for the CPR training. Does anyone know a good place for getting the Hep shots?
  4. I believe it does. You'll get an email saying the you "Background Report is Complete."
  5. I got my email this afternoon. The background check was $29.00. I never saw a price until I paid for it, so I had my fingers crossed when I clicked the mouse.
  6. I went to the Jefferson campus today and asked about the emails. She said if she finishes calling today that she will send the emails this evening. But she may not finish the calls until tomorrow. She still had a sizable stack of files on her desk. I'm entirely too excited for orientation to still be a month away. Glad you like the name n.igmatic1. Most people don't catch that. I'm rather puzzled by yours. Good luck to anyone who hasn't heard yet. And I look forward to meeting you all in class.
  7. I haven't gotten an email yet either... just the call. I'm planning on going to the financial aid office this afternoon, and will ask while I'm there.
  8. Please don't apologize slturner. That's some great info... thanks for it. And lovet, orientation will be July 17th.
  9. Under "Curriculum Information", next to "Program:" it says "AS Nursing". I don't know if it said that before or not. But I would give it a couple of days. I don't imagine they can get in touch with everybody in one day.
  10. I got my call today. I'll be in the full time program at the Jefferson campus.
  11. I wonder about working too. I don't see how to avoid it. I'm probably going to try waiting tables... I'll have to leave my full time job before school starts.
  12. No worries. That's last year's schedule.
  13. Well... the deadline for tunring in applicarions was about 20 minutes ago. (just thought I would put a timestamp here for future years) Good luck again everybody.
  14. That's the opposite of what I was told. The advisor told me that it's all about the points on the checklist. And looking through these lists for previous semesters, the cutoff is usually around 185-ish (of course, it will just depend on how many people have how many points). But it's really up to them I suppose.
  15. I mean from the very beginning. I'm changing careers from things totally unrelated. I will be starting Nursing School in the fall. I've always been drawn to those hurting emotionally. I don't know the in's and out's of nursing (I don't even know the different types of nursing), but I believe that Psych Nursing is where I belong. I'm 36, so I have enough life experience to know that I don't have enough experience. How can I go about getting it? It seems that every job opening in the facilities requires time spent working in a psych facility. I understand that... I don't want to hurt anyone. I just wonder if any of you would mind giving me your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.
