Jeff State Fall hopefuls 2016

Hello, this thread is for the Jeff State fall hopefuls 2016. Application deadline is May 12 @ 4:30pm. I applied to both programs, night and weekend program being my first pick with a total of 190 points. I Also applied to the day program with my three picks being Jefferson campus, Shelby campus and pell city campus last. I was admitted into the program before but withdrew because of a death in the family. Ive had time to grieve and im ready to rock and roll. Ive missed nursing so much and im so excited. For all the new candidates, nursing is hard. It demands of lot of attention. Sometimes more than a newborn infant. Stay grounded and lets complete nursing school.

Agreed. My entire life is on hold as well. They need to be a little more efficient when it comes to the notifying of applicants and the filtering of applications. I mean there is no reason we shouldn't know by this Friday. I am getting married next Satutday and would really like to know before we leave for the honeymoon.

My anxiety Make me check my e-mail every 30min... and nothing! Can't wait to hear something! I remember that the advisor told me it takes about 6 weeks to know if we got accept or not, so it's been 5weeks, want to beleive we all going to find out by the next week. Praying for good news for all of us.

I do too and i wish it would be sooner because it is all i can think about. I check my email constantly!

I called this morning just to see if they knew anything about the point cutoff, and the lady was SO rude. She said it would be by the end of this month and to not call up there anymore...

Yesterday I called the shelby campus to ask when is the dead line for tuition payment because im having to pay out of pocket. The person at the shebly campus was not as helpful on answering my question. She gave me a very general answer. So, i called the jefferson campus and they were able to transfer me to a nursing advisor or someone in the nursing departmemt. She was very nice & helpful. She took the time out to look up the exact date for me. Also, she told me they were having a meeting this morning on the applications and hopefully they can start email people today or very soon.. Im really hoping its sooner than later!

I talked with someone in financial aid today and they said that classes start on August 19th and if you are not paying with financial aid that tuition money is due August 24th but if you're getting financial aid it is whenever your Fafsa goes through.
