Jeff State Fall hopefuls 2016

Published

Hello, this thread is for the Jeff State fall hopefuls 2016. Application deadline is May 12 @ 4:30pm. I applied to both programs, night and weekend program being my first pick with a total of 190 points. I Also applied to the day program with my three picks being Jefferson campus, Shelby campus and pell city campus last. I was admitted into the program before but withdrew because of a death in the family. Ive had time to grieve and im ready to rock and roll. Ive missed nursing so much and im so excited. For all the new candidates, nursing is hard. It demands of lot of attention. Sometimes more than a newborn infant. Stay grounded and lets complete nursing school.

Congrats everyone who got accepted! So happy for you guys. Can't wait to hear something.

I haven't heard anything yet í ½í¸©í ½í¸ž

congrats, girl! Give us some Advise what to study before starts the program.

I probably have ton of advice actually. Let me share a few to start off:

1. Nursing school is VERY DIFFICULT. It is LARGELY SELF STUDY. You're giving some notes and the rest is on YOU.

2. Get a calendar. You will need to be very organized.

3. Start reading about dosage calculations. There are two different methods. Choose the one that makes the most sense to you.

4. Read and study as much as you can. Create a study routine that works best for you, and if necessary be willing to change it if it doesn't work.

5. Don't get discouraged about what other people say they're doing. Do what works best for you.

This is just a few things that I think are important.

What's the first letter of your last name? And where did you apply?

Sorry. .I was so exicted i forgot to put my info. Clanton campus...187 and my last name starts with S

I don't know of a book, but YouTube is awesome for videos.

Still waiting to hear from Pell City! Anyone?

How many points did you apply with? I thought I saw somewhere you applied with like 186. Maybe I'm wrong on that. I got in with 186.5 points.

Hi yes that was what I applied with for the N/W program. I have been checking like every 10 minutes lol. Driving myself crazy. :dead:
