Today I took the RN exam. I feel it's hard. I am so frustrated. :cry:

Is 2000 Prep guide the older edition of CRNE prep guide ?

Hey ,is it enough to practice with m.c.qs given in these books ?

Also,very important :

How much obstetrics ,pediatrics,community and psychiatric nursing is asked in exam i heard from friends that mostly med-surg is included?

Is it beneficial to read all those competencies given in CRNE prep guide ,before i start preparation ?

no that's not true,they don't mail the results based on who passes and who don't,don't u worry,u will pass it too,it's just the different date that they sent the letters,one my friends didn't get hers either.good luck

and I don't think the exam was included with a lot of med-surg Q?

It's mostly judgmental,try to understand the logic of the exam.

also know about the cdn health care system (especially international students), remember your abc's (airway - oxygen always first), and what I found helped me was I went through my pathology notes and looked at icp, heart failure, obstetrics, diabetes etc

It's very broad. I used both mosby and crne study guide.

I learned alot just from going through these books.

the crne study guide suggests not giving too much oxygen to copd patients yet in my practice we are told to ignore what we learned in school and to give o2.

For those who havn't got theirs no worries. I was at the CNO today, not all of them have reached their destinations.

I passed!!!! I am sooo happy......everyone send in ure fees and forms early to get ure raise. you are not an RN unless u complete that registration. if you dont submit it you are still working under your temporary license!!!

if you go down i person you can pay right at the front desk and possibly get your number by phone in 5 days. All your employer needs is the number, otherwise it's a 15 day wait for the card.

Did more people get theirs in the mail today?
